I am simply too tired. I can think, just don't want to. So no Pic'o'Day today. Instead I shall par-boil myself.

Raining, which is good, though it brings other things as well. Yesterday evening while getting ready for bed (somewhen about 22:00) off go the lights and no I didn't flip the switch. This followed near immediately with the poppow of the transformer up at the road dying. This in the midst of fairly heavy rain with lightning, though there hadn't been any right at the point in time. Still in all, phoned up CFEC and left the automated power is out message.

Sleep interrupted by assorted normally powered with battery backup devices beginning to chirp at us that hey, the power is NOT ON! Some when around 03:30 CFEC showed up, replaced the transformer, and followed the line up to our pole and transformer to check that out as well. C'est viola, the power she is back!

Which led to the alarm going off at 05:00 right on time.

Nd mr cffee, plz kthx.

Woke up from dream state sleep when the alarm went off. Do not remember any details from this dream, which is a more normal state of affairs for self. Do, however, still and will for a bit yet feel very groggy, also a normal state of affairs for self when woken from dream state sleep. Rgggnmph? with this.

Coffee helps, so may well go get some more.

Herself much appreciated her Hippie Birdbaths pressie, Season 1 (I believe called Series 1 for my other parts of the world friends) of The Tudors on DVD. This is on Showtime via Sky TV, and while the presentation of the history of HRH Henry VIII of England may be moving through a great deal of poetic/dramatic license, the settings, garb, and other aspects of the production appear to be spot-on examples of historical accuracy.

We enjoyed short ribs for dinner. Mmmmmm, Wellington.

Yes, I believe more coffee is in my near future.

I've put away the work laptop; that's how I've been dealing with the upgrade, using my desktop PC to access through Citrix (The now old desktop PC closely matches the PC's in the OR's themselves. There's a new desktop next to it supposed to have the upgrade thick client on it but I'll switch later.) and the laptop to access the thick client. I'm done. I've done what testing I will do on the reports I need to test, and that's it. I even used the opportunity to test those reports to test some things on another problem that surfaced today with a single user/RN. Patient info is surpressed for that person... on one PC, in one room. Not apparently in other rooms.

They're special. I didn't figure out why yet. It will wait until Monday.

Because I am not coming to Hospital tomorrow. Hey, Houdini, BossStaysHomeDays start tonight. Well, except that Herself and I may need to go down to Deltona. Maybe I'll bring Houdini with us.

Weeeeee!

Twelve & half hours, running into some problems. We've some time to get those problems solved, solutions need to come from Major Software Vendor. So we're probably wrapping things up here soon tonight, and Houdini will be unhappy tomorrow because I'll need to come in to Hospital again.

Kin U say, overtime? Sher. I gnu U kuld.

It was a night.

Potential TMI, you are warned... )

All that leads up to lunch today was chicken soup from the fast-food plaza downstairs. Partially, replacing fluids and partially that's all I feel up to putting through the entrance. That, and water. Lots of water. Well, not excessive quantities, but lots.
