Wrap Up

Went to the social/business function just long enough to eat dinner, though I did take the opportunity to schmooze with people from Ohio and Minnesota. GE Healthcare provides a wide range of information technology products, and the people at the table where I sat used the one for physician clinics, and some of the the electronic medical record. It's sometimes fascinating, being a part of the evolution of health care. The ideals, that the information about one's health should be available where ever you might need it is pretty damn grand.

I won't claim it's reality yet, not at all.

Today I will make the breakfast and the morning session, then it's time to head for the airport. I'll miss one session I'd intended to go to. I'm also missing the opportunity to take part in a discussion panel, as one of the panel members. Regarding the former, I'm less disappointed after looking through the seminar handouts. I know the presenter, and I'll get everything I need from the information there. Probably wouldn't from the session. Regarding the latter, I'm a bit disappointed as it would be an interesting experience. If I'd been informed of the fact before making my travel arrangements, things could be different.

Such is life. I wonder how the trip home will fare, considering the fun coming here.
