Meanwhile, Ranch taken care of, Herself taken care of (shelf installations in her room). Unfortunately the two youngest kids from yesterday, who popped out shortly before sundown, did not survive the night. Mom took good care of them, they were in with the herd in the barn, and still it got too cold for them. The rest of the new kids are doing OK.

Symantec's Norton Internet Security. I've been trying to get it up and running (an upgrade, actually) on Herself's computer all afternoon. Amongst other things, it seems to have deactivated Windows Security during the uninstall/upgrade/restart shite. Never has shown me the Register and Activate window either.

We Are Not Amused.

ETA Also, the six-year old laptop is definitely showing signs of computer Alzheimer's. It does not remember what the external CD-RW burner is, much less that it has one attached (no drive letter). The good news is it does recognize the USB hard drive, so backups are still possible.

*le sigh*
