So I am in the OR. Thus far helped get first case starts going on time. Now doing some other work related to providing required supplies for ongoing and upcoming cases.
Ah, the more it changes, the more it stays the same.

Date: 2008-09-26 12:55 pm (UTC)Whether I like my work, or not, the options to change are limited for the next 2 years, 3 months, 4 days. The primary limitation is an economic one. That's the duration left before I will actually receive a retirement check from Hospital regardless of my calendar age, i.e. the pension program will pay out regardless of age after 30 service years.
That, of course, assuming that there actually is a pension plan left in that time.
Still, that point in time is where/when options are seen to change significantly as to what work I do, liking it or otherwise. Accepting that, then, on to other parts.
What is my work? What is my role, how has it changed given I took a different position with Hospital at the beginning of this calendar year? What reasons drove me to make that change? Not only the easily stated superficial one, what are the reasons?
Stay tuned. Just, you know, don't hold your breath, please.
