All done with preop visits; all my consents are informed, and my chest x-rayed, and my blood sucked for a type and screen just in case, and tonight after midnight no more food.

If it's going to be a loooong time tomorrow before I go, I can take clear liquids...

Don't know what kind of Internetz access is available for patients, believe it or not. Not planning on bringing laptop tomorrow, will probably ask Herself to bring it either later in the day, or the next day as I'll be staying a couple days.

Get ready, Mr Stone. Your time is coming.

Saving it, not so much. Two reasons: Is big stone, and small incision, and the sheath through which the work is done just about the same size or a bit smaller than Mr Stone. Also Mr Stone needs to go off for analysis to determine composition, which helps prognisticate why he formed and liklihood of more. So Mr Stone gets busted up.

Photographing it, yes! Quality of the cameras used for this surgery improved significantly over the time I've been practicing Nursing in the OR; my surgeon promised to burn a digital copy to DVD, which I will be able to use in my own photographic work. There is still the possibility the photographs won't happen but the plan is, Photograph it, yes.
