Sisters #1
Sisters #1,
originally uploaded by Mad Shutter-bug.
Thursday, 8/17 I enjoyed the marvelous opportunity to work with [livejournal.com profile] lomer and her sister in newly-renovated Studio 318. L needed some headshots for her theatrical portfolio, plus as those who know her are aware she's got a pretty good costuming bent going on. So we wanted to get that done, plus some work with costumes she's preparing for the upcoming Dragon Con, and some other work.

They started out working together, because L's sister was due to head on off down the road to college. There's more on the flickr, clickit to follow it...

Those are some very nice photos. Having a couple of girls myself, I thought I'd die when I saw that first shot...it captures that love/ hate thing that sisters have. It's also a poignant last time that particular relationship will be like that, too. After one goes off to college, everything changes.

I actually like the color headshots better than the black and whites, but I can't tell you why.

Most folk do prefer colour portraits to B&W. Even when the portrait is more correctly termed a headshot; often those are required to be B&W (but not always).

Thank you, and on behalf of Lomer, also. I'm hoping to work with her again in future; there's also more costume work she did to put up.

And thanks for dropping by!

Great photos! The sisters together is a wonderful shot, but I especially like headshot #9.
