Run into town to acquire plywood & other supplies for matboard storage: check
Plywood cut for shelves: check
Plywood also cut & glued up for cutting guide: check (replaces an old one; these things are somewhat 'custom' to individual saws, and the old one was made for a saw which I gave to my brother-in-law when I inherited Dad's Porter-Cable. Which may have also been my grand-dad's not sure.
Discovered evidence the structure known as Studio 318 is no longer square/level: check (Then again, it's a 25 year old single-wide mobile. It doesn't leak, it's relatively level if not level (I'll check that today).

And, today I do not go to Hospital. More time in Studio; should have this matboard storage done this weekend. It's a good thing.

The portercable is a big silver metal thingie with a big black knob thingie on it, and when Boss puts it on a piece of wood it starts whirring and a part of it spins inna circle reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally fast, and it cuts the wood inna smaller pieces. And sometimes, Boss puts another piece of wood onna top of the one he's cutting, and the portercable rides along the edge of that piece of wood, and he only uses that for really long cuts.

Pretty good description, Squrrl. Porter-Cable is a company that makes power tools. The specific Porter-Cable in this instance is a 9.5" circular saw; it's possibly older than I am if it did belong to my grandfather (and I don't recall it being around while I was growing up, so that's a good possibility). It is a truly sweet tool; not so heavy to be wearing to use, heavy enough that it's fairly quiet and very stable.

Cool idea, having a singlewide for a studio! Levelling can be a pita if you don't have a hydralic jack, though. Another pair of hands, (and knees), is helpful, also. Good luck!

It's level; level enough that it's not a hassle, anyway. It's been in place for 18 years now, there's been a bit of settling but not enough to matter. The former utility closet/pantry is what's not exactly square anymore. *G*
