Oh.

I think I heard that in a song once. Day Oh.

Anyway; it was raining quite hard when I arrived at work. I don't know about now. I've been in my cave all afternoon long, mining data. Or does that make it a mine I was in, since I wasn't caving data. Dunno.

Jaw aches less now, good thing. Temporary crown is very easily identified by touch. Just doesn't feel tooth-like. Tooth-shaped, yes, but not tooth-like.

I will be going home soon. That is a good thing.

Oh.

And,

Feliz Cinco de Mayo.

Temporary crowns always feel funny -- too matte, as opposed to the slickness of enamel (natural or otherwise). And the real one may feel odd for a few days, as though it's sitting higher than the rest of your teeth. Ignore it for at least a week; they do settle a bit with time. If it still feels wrong after a week or two, then you call the dentist again.

Sounds like the Voice of Experience. *G* You're right, too. My first crown settled in in a week or a bit less, the second took a bit longer, both simply feel like they were always there now. This one's still new.
