Anything in the locust family you have to burn, salt or pour a gallon of vinegar on the bare root of. Had a bulldozer clear my house site which had a couple of honey locusts on it. Broke up the roots and man I ended up with THOUSANDS of baby honey locusts coming up from roots, seeds, and whatever else it could grow from.
