What It Seems Is... Part Deux

Outside of SNST of Hospital there are three of these as part of the landscaping. I've photographed them a few times now, with cellphone cam and point and shoot. I figure to be hauling in the DSLR on another day as well. From this I selected only the globe, and briefly worked the background to black. It will, in that incarnation, be further worked into a celestial object in some composite piece of science-fiction art.

So, some of you came close with the idea of concrete wall through round window, or soapstone. All who mentioned 'moon' came very close, considering the concept I'm working towards. Other ideas, not so much. On the other hand, quite a few of those other ideas are very amusing!
