Are we going a little stir crazy?

Stir crazy, no. Mildly frustrated about a couple things, yes. Haven't jumped through the hoops yet to register the 60 Day Free Trial of Mirco Shaft Orifice, so can't work on a file I need to be working on. Left the necessary multi-digit number either over in Studio 318 (only 100 or so feet away to the north, through the rain), or it's on the underside of the new box. Either way, not doing it tonight. Not quite ready to go to bed yet. So... let's do a poll.

No, not bored. Tho I should say that after 25 years in Nursing, all in critical care areas of some sort, I've learned it's rather a bad idea to utter the word "bored" in connection with any context that it might apply to me. It seems to go like this:

(Emergency Department RN)
I'm bored...
WHAM 15 ambulances arrive all bearing multiple victims of a several hundred vehicle high-speed collision on the local major Inter-state highway

(Neonatal ICU RN)
I'm bored...
WHAM six laboring mothers in the L&D, three of whom are premature, all deliver simultaniously with twins (well, two of them are triplets) and of which only one was previously suspected of having a multiple fetus gestation (that one is, of course, the diabetic with hypertension who is on mega-Magnesium drip for pre-eclampsia...), all requiring admission to the NICU. While the admission crew is dispatched to L&D to assist, three other infants choose this time to the joys of respiratory and cardiac arrest

(Surgical Theatre RN)
I'm bored...
WHAM those multi-trauma victims mentioned above in the ED? Seventy-five percent of them require emergent surgery for trauma related injuries, of which 75%, 36% are emergency craniotomies, 13% are simultanious vascular repairs for major vessels injured by fractured long bones and exploratory laparotomies for ruptured spleens, torn pancreas', ruptured livers, and assorted other internal injuries. Not to mention the ruptured appendix. Oh, and two of those newborn infants in the L&D? One has a diaphragmatic hernia and another a gastroschesis.

We shall leave it as an exercise for the student to look up the defnitions of some of those procedures and conditions. It should be obvious that one will quickly learn that uttering the phrase "I'm b...d" at Hospital is akin to someone from Theatre uttering the name of That Scottish Play on stage.

yup!! and even I know not to utter the b word in a hospital. Its akin to an empidemiologist going "I'm nearly finished the analysis"...which generally precipitates a whole pile more raw data that had fallen behind the cabinet and/or analysis for potential confounders.
Though the offer of digging holes still stands. Approximately 14, along the back fence, side fence and near the front of the top terrace. There are also wine barrels to be purchased, positioned and filled with soil, and a watering system to be installed.
Can supply board and lodging for your help! Tassie needs nurses - specially ones who are higher up.

Do you happen to know, is there a cut-off age for this? Reason I ask, having been to NZ on holiday I rather fell in love with the people & place, and keep checking in on being a traveler nurse there. (Well, OK, so I went with a good idea I'd like the place; even without getting to Oz or NZ I've been attracted to your corner of the world for quite a while. Tried getting there as a Federally Subsidised Tourist, but was not to be). I'd rather like that plan, come and spend about six months to a year working some as RN and taking short/longer holidays for photography.

You want http://www.dhhs.tas.gov.au/jobsandcareers/ then. Warning we have gone through 4? CEO's in the last 4 or so years and this ones contract is only for 6 months. RHH is an odd little hospital, with ALOT of politics. If you are really interested, I can see if one of S's friends who works as the surgery unit manager (I think) is avaliable to email.
