madshutterbugI absolutely despise the entire concept of Daylight Savings Time. Perhaps I'm the only one in the world that holds this position. I see it as an incredible waste of effort and time, because we really aren't saving anything. Neither time, nor daylight, nor energy.
It is also a symbol of human arrogance; a statement that Humans control the universe. Right. One of the most extreme of these statements is the historical fact that Great Britain went onto (and maintained, year round, IIRC) double-daylight savings time during the Second World War in order to be an hour ahead of Germany.
Bah. Humbug.
