Previously, On MadShutterbug

So far achieving goal of being a fairly quiet weekend. Biggest deviation this morning, when Madame Queen Mary Kitteh objected to my not getting up soon enough to serve breakfast. Though on the other hand, we may simply be seeing a sign of senility. I'm not sure I believe that, totally, as this weekend also includes the fact that Herself is off and away, and Madame Queen does not like such deviations to normalcy. Which is why I lean toward Message of Protest rather than Senility.

However.

Need to get mobile for the day, time to prep the kid milk and head out for morning rounds. Other than morning and evening rounds, and the mid-day spot-feeds for the kids, I've mostly sat about and done very low energy activities. Things like finish up most of the post-production on the April 11 Studio Session (burn the CD remains), and sort a few other photos, watch some programs recorded on DVR and not a lot else. Respiratory wise, I'm feeling better though not great. Still coughing, not as frequently. Still producing most times when I do, not a lot.

And otherwise, haven't left the confines of Teh Ranch the entire time. Probably will be today, though, as the bed linens now need washing thanks to Madame Queen. Ah well.

That's a Wrap

Herself is home, all is well. Gave Houdini a bath today; if one listens to him he is still much offended by this. However, it involved much playing of Hose, one of the Border Collie Bros favourite games. Despite his put upon airs, he is still wagging his tail at me and probably will feel better in a day or so. Part of the reason for the bath, he apparently tastes better to fleas than his brothers.

Cleaned out his den, too, dumping the old straw of winter bedding and hosing out the accumulated dirt underneath it. Squrrl and Smudge will be next, though they as stated may not need the baths. Their dens are ready to clean out the winter bedding. We added the bedding moderately late (January-ish) so it's not totally nasty. It is, however, now well pressed down and as mentioned, lots of dirt added to it. I imagine they could start a garden in it if they wanted. Well maybe not quite that bad.

Starting to hear thunder to the north, so the evening storms are coming. Means it's time to head out and feed cows and horses, then the Bros. We shall be having taco salad ourselves. Cows and Horses will be having... the usual.
