How Was Your Monday
Mar. 12th, 2007 08:54 pmIt's the second day of my AORN conference. Got up before the asscrack of dawn to go to a breakfast/education session, hosted by one of the vendors; a subject near to my heart which I won't bore you with (other than mention it's Breast Cancer). The featured speaker was Rue McClanahan, one of the stars of Golden Girls from TV and a breast cancer survivor. Good breakfast. Pretty good presentation.
Then sessions of talk-talk, important to my nursing friends here but probably not others. Then some other related activities, more talk-talk, and finished with a couple CE sessions. Well, as far as official business anyway.
Then a short but much needed visit with a friend. We'll call him Bob (not his real name) and we'll call him that because we shared a few beers, and crashed a party, which in our defense we thought was a 'hospitality suite' which vendors run. Of course it didn't occur to us that this is Monday, and the suites don't open until after the first day of the trade show which is tomorrow. But the owner of the company hosting the party (we'll call him Dave) is a cool guy, and welcomed us anyway, and fed us and gave us more beer, then kicked us out when they started their pre-trade show sales meeting.
That's fair.
Oh, and I did smell otters. Dredd Phredd and Popper stowed away. Ya. Go figger.
