When you see this, post a quote from Douglas Adams in your LJ.

"Gravity, yes, there was that as well, I suppose. Though that, of course, was merely a discovery. It was there to be discovered." ...
"You see?" he said dropping his cigarette butt, "They even keep it on at weekends. Someone was bound to notice sooner or later. But the catflap ... ah, there is a very different matter. Invention, pure creative invention. It is a door within a door, you see."

Bonus Geek Points for the reference, this part added by myself. Original meme source for me, spotted in [livejournal.com profile] lolleeroberts place. *G*

Ear Worm

Indiana Jones' theme song is going through my head on a looped play.

As ear worms go, this one's not so bad at all. :-D ONE WEEK!

Just Being a Geek

So what is it that attracts you to reading, adding, following someone's writing here on LJ? One of the things I look at, but in many ways don't apparently apply that much 'weight' to, is their Interests list. You know, that thing that LJ offers us to put down the things that interest us, and which help provide a search hook for other people. Or yourself, if you're looking. Now, I rather arbitrarily limit my Interest List. There's a reason for that, and a few people even clued into it. That's cool. But because of that limitation (even if I change things around periodically) there are a lot of things which show up on other people's lists which won't receive the LJ Shared In Common highlighing, yet are shared in common.

Ever wonder about that? Obviously, I do... )

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] lolleeroberts

And, well, anyone else that wants to read this. *G*

So, my colleagues in FCORN (Florida Council periOperative Registered Nurses) asked me to run for an office, and they elected me secretary. And our new Chair (officer installation tonight) is another Trekkie/Trekker/Star Trek Fan Name of Choice. Each year, the incoming Chair picks some theme for the installation ceremony.

When I saw the pictures on the fans each new officer received (started with the Nominating Committee, I knew which character would come with the Secretary's office.

Hint: ^icon :)

Where's George?

No, seriously, Where's George is a place I occasionally wander through. Not terribly active, but it's sort of interesting.
