A mentor once told me, make no excuses for works in progress. State simply that they are a work in progress if you intend to ask for feedback. So, today's and the next couple or so are works in progress.

In other news, it is raining here. This is not currently, but may soon interfere with Sky Interwebz Connectivity.

LJH says they should be looking nervously at a dog, which sounds quite cute. But then she also says they should be in a movie theater and I don't know whether a dog would work in a movie theater.

I do like the idea of them being in a movie theater and being nervous about a piece of popcorn (which would be giant from their perspective).

If they are at the beach (which I think would be very cute) I think they should be nervous about a big crab.

Oddly enough, I also like the idea of them in an urban landscape. They are so crayon-colorful that putting them in a pastoral environment is going to make them a cliche. I would put them against barbed wire or garbage dumpsters or gray concrete.

That's what I'd do...I'd put them on a city street with blurred people hurrying by and not perceiving them.

Maybe they could be lancing at trains, but I like the idea of them lancing at another amorphous fairytale creature in a city landscape that somehow no one is seeing.
