World Poetry Day
To Julie, With Thanks, March 10, 2001
Flowing
windchimes, forest birds
palm heels, fingertips
Percussion notes like watersprites
Dancing
‘Midst
leaf-dappled shadow woods
muscle ridge scapula edge
Thrills running along nerve routes
Wearing
only what God gave me
and a thin sheet
Allowing our body language conversation
Touching
head, neck
shoulder, spine
gluteus, quadreceps
Intimately, professional helping helpers
Releasing
accumulated anguish
of those
Touched.
Flowing
flute winds, raindrops
breathing, massage
Two strangers reaching
Nirvana
We now send you along to a place where someone who truly is a wordsmith provides reading material rather than a word mechanic providing ... something.
Thoughts
Thanks for the linkage, by the way. I just put up a post about World Poetry Day.
