Oh dear... he wrote some wonderful stories. I loved his characters. I think I've read all of his books.

Me too.
As an aside, I've got a couple photos I may post this week. Nowhere near as out there as your necropsy photos, but of one of the new kids that didn't make it... Alas. However, amongst other things we think he was premature.
