One of the people I read very, very regularly is the inestimable tx_cronopio, who nearly every week posts a delightful Frivolous Friday Poll. However, this particular point in time is running a bit roughshod over the inestimable Cronopio, so several of us who are CronopioFanz are doing up Frivolous Friday for her. In keeping with my immediate prior post, I bring you a Poll.

I have very eclectic tastes in music. I like jazz, rhythm and blues, urban, rock, world beat, dance, pop, some country and western and even some rap.

I can't carry a tune in a bucket or really play a musical instrument, but I enjoy and admire people who can. I haven't played violin in years, but I still can play a scale on it and read music. I stopped playing as a kid because I realized that I HATED classical music:) Still do.

I'm fairly broad-minded in musical taste. Didn't list a lot of them here because I really wanted to bang out the poll. Solidarity! tx_cronopio! *G* Actually, I'm kinda surprised more people aren't picking the Ticky.

I mean, I even like a lot of showtunes, as in musicals, eh?

I've four guitars at the house. Three I purchased, one I inherited. One needs repair work, and not that easy because it's a 'turtle-back' or round back guitar, rather like a lute. And I've not played any of them in much too long a time.

I also play the vocal chords.

I like all kinds of music, some more than others, but almost nothing is a complete turn-off!

My main passion, however, is progressive rock, which does mean many things to many people. I mean it in the Genesis, Yes, Gentle Giant sense.

You have chosen a good time to get the Genesis, as the remixes are almost all out now. The best, earliest stuff they have saved for last (the early box set comes out in october).

I either forgot or skipped a whole bunch of stuff! On the other hand, if I'd kept going and listing things, might never of gotten the poll done and posted. Which was far more important to me than catching everything.

Ticky is something of a slang term for the check box in polls. As in, ticky box or tick box.

It's sort of funny, because although it may be appropriate to a poll (depending on how serious) to exclude all but one answer to a question... someone will put into the comments, "Where's the ticky?"
