Do You Know What Today Is?

That's probably too subtle a hint, though.
I watched the first moon landing with my father. Mom was in the hospital, all my siblings are older & were moved out at the time so it was only the two of us at home. Dad walked into the living room where the TV was on his way to bed, asked me what I was watching and sat down when I told him. We watched together for a while, quiet as the TV was with so little dialog or initial action from the black and white video camera mounted outside the Eagle LEM. Then Neil Armstrong climbed down that ladder and hopped off onto the surface of the Moon.
Still, it impressed me no end when Dad stood up and said to me, 'I'm going to bed now, because I'm tired. You watch this as long as you want. I've seen Mankind go from just beginning to fly to walking on the Moon. This is one of the major events in your lifetime.'
Yes. Yes, it is.
