Have checked router against set-up instructions and connections. It occasionally does better on the connectivity following a power-down reboot. Not always.
Thing is, after the major system crash last year October, reformatting hard drive and re-installing everything, Laptop still acts a bit wonky. Only recently did it start to believe it has USB 2.0 ports. Likewise that the network card (hard-wire) is there. I still haven't tried connecting via wire to see if the connectivity problems cease or not.
Herself's computer does not seem to show the same problems connecting to Flickr and is wired rather than wireless. On the other hand, her computer is bog slow, probably software related (she's got a lot of what I still think of as TSR apps loaded).
Perhaps I'm simply trying to talk myself into a new computer or two...
