There should be Oscars. On the plus side, there are moms and dads and kids alive and not dead.

I realize you're just being grumbly and flip, but I totally think you're on to something. Forget Grammies and Tonies and Emmies and Oscars.

I want to see a red-carpet televised award show for teachers and nurses and doctors and community organizers and foster parents and good Little League coaches and, yes, Scout leaders.

When society gets its act together and puts on such a show, you will have my nomination.

(Hey, were your ears burning this weekend? Mirth and I were at Maker Faire. and at one point,Mirth was talking to someone who works in medical IT and Mirth was singing your praises to this person. )
