I would have preferred to see him sit in a prison cell (and not a fancy white-collar one, either) for at least a while, meditating on what he'd done and the consequences it brought. But then, I'm a vindictive bitch, and I know people whose lives he ruined.
Still, even though I made the comment, there is a small question as to the merit. It will depend on some personal assumptions, which not everyone will share. My own is that whatever the venue for it, he's now facing a Greater Judge (be it an Almighty by whatever Name, or Karma, or whatever).
Yeah. Perhaps The Big Guy In Charge stepped in and said, "I know those humans are going to mess this up again, I might as well take care of the sentencing myself."
