And I've now got it narrowed down to which portions of which episodes, and I saw the entirity of the ninth one, where there's the fire on Serenity and Mal recalls finding the ship and gathering the crew.
Real quick summary? I knew I liked what I'd seen. I really like the continuity I've now got. Since it's on DVR it's not a permanent recording (I'll probably want to use the time/space for something else at some point). The DVD release is now most certainly on the shopping list.
Can I ask yet to be put on your Serenity filter? Not sure. Still haven't seen the movie release.
Definitely shows its homage to Westerns; sometimes with a very subtle touch, sometimes... not so much.
